Tony Nolan is a member of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart a religious order within the Roman Catholic tradition. He has more than twenty five years experience working reflectively with groups and individuals.  Over the past 20 years he has been highly involved in ecumenical ministry development partnerships including having spent 8 years as an ecumenical university chaplain.

Tony is an experienced group facilitator, pastoral supervisor , spiritual director and supervisor of directors.   He holds a Masters in Celtic Christianity, a Post Graduate Diploma in Consultative Supervision, a Post Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution Skills as well as professional certification in Mediation. He is an accredited Spiritual Director (All Ireland Spiritual Guidance Association) and an accredited Pastoral Supervisor (Association of Pastoral Supervisors and Educators).

Before joining the staff at Sarum, he worked as a freelance facilitator specialising in the areas of Ministry Development and Spiritual and Adult Formation.  An experienced story teller, retreat director and group facilitator he has  worked extensively in the UK and Ireland with laity, clergy, religious and those in training for ordained ministry.  He is actively involved in promoting supervision and reflective practice in a wide variety of contexts including Education, Chaplaincy, Church Leadership, Parish Ministry and Spiritual Direction. He is the author of ‘Supervision as Courageous Conversation’ in Enriching Ministry: Pastoral Supervision in Practice (SCM 2014)

Tony is available for Spiritual Direction, Supervision (Individual, Group or Team) and to Mediate in Workplace and Church based Conflicts.
