Whether your objective is team building, innovating, or doing concentrated work on a budget or business plan, being away from the usual work environment with a stretch of dedicated time will help you be more successful.
Located in the peace and tranquillity of Salisbury’s Cathedral Close, Sarum College is an inspirational venue in Grade 1-listed buildings. We’ll help you plan your time here just as you wish, either on your own or with input from our bespoke consultancy services.
The College has six meeting rooms, the largest of which can accommodate up to 90 people. Five other meeting rooms are suitable for groups of 10 to 35 people and have superb views onto the grounds of Salisbury Cathedral. We also offer smaller breakout rooms.
“Our team needed to take some time away to reflect and rethink – Sarum College offered the perfect environment to do so.”
“Great food, lovely people, what more could you ask for –
Wi-Fi is available throughout the building and all our meeting rooms can be equipped with laptops and digital projectors as required.
The dining room has seating for up to 90 people. There is also a common room and a fully licensed bar. Our on-site catering staff prepare fresh, high-quality meals to suit all diets and preferences, including two-course cooked lunches and suppers, working lunches, buffets and bespoke catering. Produce is sourced from trusted local and Fairtrade suppliers where possible.
There are 40 en-suite bedrooms, 26 singles, 7 doubles and 7 twins. Most are newly refurbished, some have views of the Cathedral and its Close. Other facilities include an on-site specialist library and bookshop.
Whatever your requirements, we’re happy to work with you to put together a package of facilities and services to suit your group’s needs.
Mentoring and Consultancy
“Working as a team in a different context frees up discussion and staff engagement. Sarum College offers a unique space where tradition and change, stability and innovation go hand in hand. Leaders in both business and charitable sectors know that sometimes it is just good to get away to grapple with a familiar issue or imagine something quite new. Sometimes too it is helpful to use an external facilitator who can hold the ring and resource new ways of meeting.”
Sarum offers bespoke mentoring and organisational consultancy led by Tim Harle and Keith Lamdin.
Tim Harle is a Visiting Fellow at Bristol Business School, where he teaches at Masters level and directs a programme of courses for executives, Leading through Complexity and New Thinking in Management. Tim’s specialist interest is in understanding leadership and change from the perspectives of ecosystems and complexity theory. He is head of Sarum’s postgraduate programme on leadership.
Keith Lamdin specialises in the professional development of clergy, working as a consultant and coach to senior clergy as well as with senior managers in health care, education and the voluntary sector. He is scholar in residence at Sarum College.
