Chaplaincy and Contemporary Spirituality

This day will lead participants in thinking about the interaction between chaplaincy and contemporary spirituality and the engagement between chaplaincy and human flourishing.

It will combine high quality speaker input with opportunities for participants to enter into discussion, raising issues and contributing their own insights and experience.

The day will also include the launch of A Christian Theology of Chaplaincy, edited by John Caperon, Andrew Todd and James Walters and published by Jessica Kingsley.

Tutors:
Andrew Todd is the Coordinator for the Centre for Contemporary Spirituality and Programme Leader for the MA in Christian Spirituality. He is an expert in contemporary religion and spirituality; an Anglican priest and Franciscan Tertiary. James Woodward is Principal of Sarum College and Coordinator for the Centre for Human Flourishing. As a practical theologian he has focussed particularly on areas of health and healing, old age, the practice of theological reflection, and end of life care.
