Cloud of Witnesses: Liturgical Celebration for All Saints and All Souls

  • Course Dates: Fri 9 September 2016, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

The final weeks of the Church’s year are generally known as All Saint’s-tide, which includes the Feast itself, and its ‘sister’ Feast of All Souls.

Reflection on death, resurrection, remembrance and a growing awareness of the communion of saints characterise this period of the year. Participants will consider liturgical texts, such as Common Worship ‘Times and Seasons’, and encouraged to explore ways in which symbols, movement, music and scripture can enrich our celebration of the “life of the world to come”. The pastoral opportunities of annual Memorial Services for the bereaved will also be explored.
