Rural Ministry: Learning from Chaplaincy

  • Course Dates: Thu 28 February 2019, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Rural parish ministry is often typified today by a few regular church attenders, but a continuing recognition of the role and worth of the church and particularly the priest in the wider community.

Those in chaplaincy ministry have long experience of being in a similar situation in hospitals, prisons, and other environments. We will explore what might be learnt from chaplaincies to give a fresh perspective on mission and ministry in rural contexts.
