TQQ: Theology Through Art

  • Course Dates: Tue 13 December 2016, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

This session concludes the term in which we have been looking at ways in which theology is done.

Today we will take a slightly more unusual approach and look at art to see what it tells us about religious beliefs.

Prior to the mid-twentieth century religion was the main topic for artists, just as the church was their main sponsor. In the process the artists expressed official and unofficial beliefs through the medium of art. What do you think may have happened after the Reformation?

Please note that the date of this session has changed from Tuesday 29 November to Tuesday 13 December 2016. Advance booking not required, simply come along on the evening.
