Support Sarum When Buying Online

easyfundraising-logoEasyfundraising is an easy and great way to support Sarum College when buying online, at no extra cost to you.

How it works

1. Let’s say you want to buy a pair of shoes from John Lewis. Instead of going to johnlewis.com directly, you first go to easyfundraising.org.uk.

2. From the easyfundraising website, click through to John Lewis to make your purchase. This tells John Lewis you came from easyfundraising. The price of the shoes is exactly the same.

3. After you buy your shoes, John Lewis will give you a cash reward that you can turn into a donation. Easyfundraising collect this and send it to Sarum College at no extra cost.

What have train tickets, a pair of trousers and a tin of paint got in common? Answer – buying them has raised money for Sarum College.

I have to say I was rather sceptical when I first heard about Easy Fund Raising. Although I do use the internet to purchase all sorts of things I could not see the companies I used being signed up to a charity fundraising scheme – and one that would benefit the college I have valued studying at.

How wrong could I be! From Eurostar to Marks and Spencer, Amazon to Interflora there are hundreds of companies linked to easyfundraising.co.uk. I have been hugely impressed – once registered (a ten minute process) for anyone used to buying stuff on the internet you would find that this takes all of a few extra clicks to make the same purchases you would have made anyway – and the Sarum College Trust gets the money.

We are not talking big sums, 1% here 0.5% there – but I have been using the site now for a month and Sarum should benefit to the tune of just over £15 and I will have bought nothing and spent no more than I would have done anyway.

So – if you use the internet even occasionally to buy stuff – register with easyfundraising today and start raising money for Sarum College Trust to help maintain and develop the wonderful educational institution that is Sarum College.
