Ageing Grace-Fully: Understanding Psycho-Spiritual Needs

This two course series explores one facet of spirituality and ageing – the life transition at retirement.

As a course on how life’s many transitions affect us spiritually, the issues discussed will have a relevance beyond the topic of retirement. However, with retirement as a focus, the course offers in-depth insight into the spiritual dimension of such transitions—how we can assess them and meet our changing spiritual needs.

This second day will begin a psychological exploration of spirituality and ageing, particularly as it relates to retirement. It will explore issues of self-worth and identity. Current research and theological literature will be explored.

This is a new course. No previous experience or academic qualifications are required. Participants who attended last year’s Spirituality and Healthcare course will notice that it focuses on those topics that the course group highlighted as being particularly relevant, and lend themselves to further research.

Each day is booked separately. £45, includes lunch and refreshments.
