FWW_Centenary__Led_By_IWM_Red rgbIn August 2014 this nation along with others across the world will mark 100 years since the outbreak of the First World War.

The course will address ways in which the Church can contribute to local celebrations, considering in particular how Christian liturgy can provide an important means of articulating the meaning, memories and hopes of the anniversary.

An ideal course for those involved in planning local events.

    • Jonathan Ball has served as a chaplain in the armed services. He collaborated on the 2008 Tri-service Armed Forces Operational Service Book. He has led the very popular Pastoral Liturgy Days on Remembrance Day (2011) and Preparing for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee (2012)

    • James Steven is director of Liturgy and Worship at Sarum College and has a particular interest in the relationship between theology and liturgical practice.
