Noli Me Tangere  by TitianWe shall consider four famous saints of the Church, as they have been represented in art: two women – Anne (traditionally the name of the mother of the Virgin Mary) and Mary Magdalene (present at the crucifixion and the first to meet the risen Christ) – and the two leading apostles – Peter and Paul.

    • The Reverend Henry Kirk is a school chaplain and teacher of religious studies. With degrees in philosophy and theology, and a diploma in the history of art, he has a particular interest in using art to teach philosophy, ethics and theology. He has given lectures to teachers in England and Australia and for Oxford University’s Department for Continuing Education.
