God Revealed in Art – Day 1: The Old Testament and Art

In what sense is God the creator of the world? What is the covenant promise God made to his people? How is God holy and wise? For whom is God saviour?

We shall tackle these questions concerning God in the Old Testament by examining paintings by artists, from medieval to modern.

    • The Reverend Henry Kirk is a school chaplain and teacher of religious studies. With degrees in philosophy and theology, and a diploma in the history of art, he has a particular interest in using art to teach philosophy, ethics and theology. He has given lectures to teachers in England and Australia and for Oxford University’s Department for Continuing Education.
