A Christian Reflection on the Financial Crisis
The 6th Niblett Memorial Lecture will this year be given by Lord Griffiths of Fforestfach, Fellow of Sarum College and International Advisor with Goldman Sachs International concerned with strategic issues – United Kingdom and Asia; trustee of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lambeth Fund and chairman of Christian responsibility in Public Affairs.
The lecture will be followed by questions and discussion between Lord Griffiths and The Rt Revd Dr Peter Selby, formerly Bishop of Worcester and Bishop to HM Prisons, and Visiting Professor in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at King’s College, London.

- As William Leech Professorial fellow in Durham, Peter Selby wrote a prescient account of what a debt-based economy does to the world, and to the language of faith. He is the author of Grace and Mortgage: the Language of Faith and the Debt of the World.
