The Church and the Churches: the Message of Christian Architecture

  • Date & Time: Tuesday, 23 Apr 2013, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Why are the churches we are so familiar with organized the way they are? Why are most in the Gothic style, and what is the difference between the medieval and Victorian varieties of this style? Why are so many Nonconformist chapels built in a Classical style? This session explores the ways in which different understandings of Church are expressed in architecture.
