Ideally situated in the beautiful Salisbury Cathedral Close, there are lovely walking routes as well as easy access to the cinema, shops and public transport for regional outings - all just minutes away on foot.

Renewing Ministry

Our newest programme, Renewing Ministry was developed by Sarum College Prinicpal Keith Lamdin to offer clergy mentoring, spiritual direction, use of the library, reduced rates on courses during your stay, the daily pattern of worship at Salisbury Cathedral, warm hospitality as well as the community life of a thriving college. Renewing Ministry guests also enjoy a 10% discount on purchases in the Sarum College Bookshop.

Days of Reflection

Four gentle days of prayer, stillness and quiet reflection.

Sr. Mairead will help you to discover, or rediscover, how to use the time for prayer and reflection, both on the day and at other times.

With the help of these masters of the Spiritual Life we will spend each day in meditation, prayer, reflection and silence to help us deepen our life hidden with Christ in God.

Retreats

The Sarum College Ecumenical Retreat Team runs twice-yearly retreats at Ivy House, Warminster, and at the Southgate Retreat Centre in Buckfast Abbey, Devon. Our personal guides will meet you just where you are on your pilgrim journey.

The Southgate Retreat Centre is situated within the monastery grounds of the Buckfast Abbey. As part of a living and working Benedictine monastery, the centre provides an ideal and secluded environment for an individually accompanied retreat. Participants are welcome to share in the Abbey’s daily routine of prayer. Ivy House is the 18th century retreat centre of the Community of St Denys. It offers a warm welcome and generous hospitality with excellent food, much of which is grown by the community or sourced from farmers locally.

Buckfast Abbey 14 to 21 September (either 4 or 7 nights) Four nights £270; seven nights £415 Maximum of 10 places available.
