Can There Be a Theology of Art? What Would it Look Like?
- Course Dates: Fri 15 November 2019, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

This day will look at several theologians who have written about art, and develop some of their more fruitful lines of enquiry.
At the heart of the day, we will be seeking to use Trinitarian theology as a way of gaining critical insight into the evident spirituality of many works of modern as well as more traditional art. Through looking at a wide range of works of art, the aim will be to respond to the challenge of finding a rich theology of art that might broaden the scope of theology itself, as well as transforming the way works of art are viewed and interpreted.
