Dealing with Change in the Church of England

  • Course Dates: Mon 9 November 2020, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

The Revd Keith Elford, the coordinator for the Centre for Leadership, shares insights from his research into Renewal and Reform. Keith combines perspectives derived from management studies and from ecclesiology, drawing on research which included interviews with most of the major advocates as well as critics of Renewal and Reform.  How well does it all stack up?  In conversation with Sarum College Principal, the Revd Canon Professor James Woodward.

Participants will gather online to hear the background story of Renewal and Reform, a critical and constructive account of its rationale and approach and be asked to consider what all this means for them and the Church of England.  Participants will be invited to contribute their experience and perspectives to the discussion.  We expect participants to go away better able to make sense of what is happening in the contemporary church and to shape their response to the major development of the last decade.
