Exploring the Medieval Close
- Course Dates: Thu 14 April 2016, 10:30 am to 4:30 pm

For almost 800 years the Cathedral Close has been a place of prayer, worship and scholarship.
During this day we will explore how this reflects the learning, liturgy and spirituality of the Middle Ages. This course will give you the opportunity to learn something about the history of the medieval close and to experience first hand some of its treasures.
The course will be divided between teaching sessions and visits to the Cathedral and its library, where students will be able to see some of the medieval manuscripts that it houses and which they will have learnt about.
