Make a Scratch on to the Soul
- Course Dates: Wed 30 November 2016, 3:45 pm to 4:50 pm

Screening of this Arts-Council funded film by Tim Wainwright. The film is a consideration of soul in the everyday lives of Londoners.
Tim Wainwright uses photography, film and sound to investigate the nature and consequences of transformation and to enable people to tell their stories. He has shown his work around the world, in museums, galleries, and public and private spaces. It has included large-scale visual and sonic installations, photographic documentary projects and abstract collections.
“About Soul” represents the completion of a quartet of works he began in 1993. These have examined what he considers to be the four elements of what it is to be human – mind, body, heart and soul. In relation to this he has previously documented the lives of the severely mentally ill, of people with cancer, and of those going through the heart transplantation process.
The afternoon will include the screening of Tim’s film followed by a discussion and then later at 5pm a book launch with Gillian Alghren.
