Making the Most of Being Me: Practical Theology as a Resource for Self-development
- Course Dates: Mon 19 November 2018, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Pierre-André Liégé, one of the foremost French theologians of the 20th century, influenced John XXIII and Paul VI, and sat on Vatican II committees with both the future John Paul II and Benedict VI.
In the light of his challenging yet inspiring work, a lot of contemporary church life appears insipid, if not plain wet. This study day will combine an exploration of Liégé’s compelling vision with a live opportunity for participants to work with the questions: Where have I come from? Where am I now? What am I becoming?
Liégé was among the first French theologians to connect the human sciences with theology. How can his theology apply to individuals and to the life of the church today? With his 20 years’ experience of leadership development for senior NHS leaders, Nicholas Bradbury’s aim for those who attend this day is more richly to connect their theology with their lived experience and to explore what further support and challenge they might need next as human beings.
