No Petticoats Here
- Course Dates: Sun 4 November 2018, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

A musical performance exploring the lives of inspirational First World War women through original songs and storytelling.
Expect to hear songs that span the full range of human emotion from the triumphant waltz Pride of the Army about matron Ada Yorke, to the call to arms of Toil, Women, Toil – a marching song inspired by the army of women workers at Priddy’s Hard in Hampshire.
Accompanying herself on guitar, keyboard and percussion Louise Jordan brings to life the stories of remarkable women of the Great War through their own words and recorded soundscape. Based on eighteen months of research and feedback from international tours this one-women performance transports the audience into the lives of these pioneering women.
“Inspirational, interesting, intriguing. No Petticoats Here is a performance like no other.”
“Absolutely fantastic, every song gave me goosebumps. A beautiful and eloquent tribute to some incredible women.”
