Our Ministry of Health and Healing

  • Course Dates: Fri 13 November, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

This day will explore the traditional healing ministry, look at the role of prayer, and explore the mission field.

We shall reimagine Christian spiritual healing and the power of faith in helping individuals and building up the mission of the church.

Jesus asks his disciples to grow the church and to heal. Today, we tend to be more comfortable doing the former, and we have lost our confidence to offer the gifts of the Christian Spiritual healing. In this teaching day, we will explore the traditional healing ministry, look at the role of prayer, and explore the mission field (that includes modern medicine, new age alternatives and many talking therapies). Participants will get the chance to explore the healing ministry, examine the role of storytelling, and to ask what healing means for them personally, and for their communities. In a world with medicine and science, which largely regards the Christian faith as having little to offer human healing, participants will be offered a reimagining of Christian Spiritual Healing, and the power it has to help individuals and to build up the mission of the church.
