Rural Mission and Ministry day: Missional Listening

  • Course Dates: Tue 9 June, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

We are so accustomed to speaking the gospel to the world, that we are in danger of losing the importance of listening.

Learning how we might better understand our rural communities, ask the right questions, and undertake relevant research to read the local context. We will then seek to look at methods to use in our churches to help us theologically reflect on these insights, alongside understanding the signs of ‘good news’ and who else might already be here. We will then take all of these learnings and explore the missiological implications, before seeking to join the dots and formulate a strategy(ies) that will benefit both the inherited models of church as well as point to some alternative models which could be launched alongside.
