Singing Day: Music from the Iona, Taizé and Global Church Communities

  • Course Dates: Sat 23 June 2018, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

A day of singing music from the Iona Community, Taizé Community and the Global Church Community.

We will end with an act of worship using the music we have learned during the day. Open to those new to, and those experienced in singing with others. Those who wish to sing and play an instrument are welcome too.

The day will be useful for those who wish to introduce and/or develop provision for music from the global church in their communities.

Tutor:
Keith Thomasson is an ordained minister and former music teacher who enjoys working with music to encourage faith exploration and spiritual nurture. Currently he is the director of the New Sarum Singers in Salisbury and regularly runs workshops with local churches hoping to introduce global church music in their contexts.
