The Faith Journeys of Millennials

Today’s young adults are the least religious generation on record and yet there are still those for whom Christian faith is central to their identity.
This one-day course will explore contemporary theories of identity and faith formation among young adults. It will be based on the findings of a large-scale qualitative research project undertaken with Millennials, in which they told the story of their life and faith through their twenties. They include the accounts of those who have lost their faith entirely, those for whom it has radically altered and those who have continued within the tradition of their childhood or adolescence. With the opportunity to reflect on cultural changes and their impacts on the wellbeing of young adult religiosity this is a day for all those involved or interested in the religious faith of younger generations.
