Sarum College has a strong ecumenical heritage.
The majority of our ministry students come from the Church of England tradition but we welcome those from other denominations who join our course as part of their ministry training.
Students for authorised ministries have two options:
- Take the lay ministry course, following the core academic and formational learning resulting in a Common Awards qualification, supplementing where necessary with other denominational formational training.
- Take the ordained ministry course, again for a Common awards qualification, taking part in the additional formational work for Anglican ordinands.
This entails some give and take. We welcome students from other denominations who recognise the necessary focus on Anglican ministry, through which we are all enriched by our unique contributions and by working together.
