About the Autumn Silent Retreat 2021 course
Join us for a weekend retreat from all the busyness of life.
Using gentle liturgy, spiritual reflection practices, and rest we aim to create a residential community of silence and calm for the weekend.
Silent Retreats are a time for you to let go of high expectations of yourself and others. It is not a time to get things done, but a time to rest, reflect, listen, and be at ease.
Facilitated by experienced spiritual guide and retreat leader The Revd Catherine Williams. Some may use this time to write, walk, take an extra nap, read, create art, or be in silence with the company of others. It is an opportunity to consider and put into practice self-care skills to help sustain you throughout the year.
The retreat starts with dinner on Friday evening together, with silence starting after evening prayer on Friday evening. Silence ends at lunch on Sunday, with departures afterward (around 2pm).
