About the Exploring Theology Autumn 2022 course
This flagship theology course offers intellectually rigorous, interactive, and accessible learning delivered online via Zoom.
Exploring Theology is a two-year course, designed so that students can join up to the four week of any term (otherwise it’s best to wait for the start of the following term).
Course overview
Exploring Theology’s Year B 2022-2023 focuses on the variety of historical influences, theological debates, and ways in which Christian belief has been shaped and practiced.
The Autumn 2022 Term explores the history of Christian belief, starting with the emergence of the early church and its parting of ways from Judaism, to its relationship to empire, the developments of creeds, understanding influences related to schisms and reformations, and up to the rise of modernity and the Enlightenment.
Sessions are recorded and readings are available to registered students via the online student portal, SarumLearn.
Registration is open until the fourth session on 25 October and if you register after the course starts, you can catch up via recordings and online material. Please contact the course leader Dr Jayme Reaves (jreaves@sarum.ac.uk) if you are booking this course after the first session on 27 September.
