Finding Rest course
During the course we will explore the sort of rest you might need; physical, mental, emotional, social or spiritual, and how to recognise in which of these areas you are depleted. There will be the opportunity to consider the work that you do and the areas in which your work, all your work, drains you. You will have the chance to reflect on what you already know is restful for you and expand upon those ideas. Also, we will consider what a healthy rhythm of work and rest might look like for you in this season of life. Finally, we will focus on what might be stopping you stopping, what it is that keeps you working when you really need to pause and rest.
God’s heart for rest will be woven throughout our time together and you will be encouraged to listen for what God’s invitation to you to rest may be.
It is easy to underestimate the difference it can make when we take rest seriously. ‘Finding Rest’ will give you the opportunity to learn the art of intentional and effective rest as well as providing you with specially designed tips, tools and practices to help you rest now and into the future. Once you recognise the intimate relationship between your work and your rest, you can rediscover the role that rest can play in helping you live the whole of your life to the full.
