About the Planing the Rough Places course
A December weekend Retreat from Friday early evening to after lunch on Sunday.
This Advent Retreat includes guided reflections, prayer & silence – watching and waiting with the Prophet Isaiah as we prepare the way for the Lord to level, restore and renew the ‘rough places’ in ourselves, our churches and our world.
‘Every valley shall be lifted up,
And every mountain and hill be made low;
The uneven ground shall become level and the rough places a plain’. (Isaiah 40:4)
With gentle worship the opportunity to attend worship in Salisbury Cathedral.
Spiritual exercises, use of the library, art & craftwork etc may be offered as well as the possibility for a one to one spiritual conversation with the retreat conductor.
Retreatants have plenty of scope to engage with the retreat in whichever way works best for them.
