Christian Spirituality Through the Lens of Bereavement
This course explores the deep connection between the longing for God which dominates the texts and practices of the great Christian spiritual writers and the yearning we experience as part of human loss, exploring themes such as lament, the creative imagination, and engaging with absence and darkness.
About the tutor
The Revd Canon Dr Joanna Collicutt FBPsS is Supernumerary Fellow in psychology of religion at Harris Manchester College and Oxford an associate priest in Oxfordshire.
Dr Collicutt is a proflific author: her next book is So Longeth My Soul: Classic Readings in Christian Spirituality (SCM forthcoming).
