Want to add discipline and tutor feedback to your learning but not sure about taking on a full degree programme?
Sarum offers the option to enrol on individual modules with tutor guidance and the marking of a piece of work on the module of your choice. The programme cost is £390, which is charged in addition to the cost of the auditor fee. You don’t have to be on sabbatical, but the module and course work runs over a 13-week period.
The assessed auditing option offers you an hour-long introductory tutorial with the programme leader; a marked submission on the module theme and another hour-long tutorial with the programme leader to discuss feedback and advise on the next steps.

Visit the Guided Independent Research page for a full range of bespoke options, including full-year and single supervision session alternatives.
Why choose the assessed route? You gain the discipline of an enrolled student without making a long-term commitment. This also is a great way to test the waters if you’re thinking of doing a degree.
“It’s great to be able to do a lot of reading on a topic that interests me and then have the structure and essays to direct and harness that reading and learning,” says MACS student James Stickings. “It gives a focus to my learning energy and the feedback is wonderful.”
