Sarum College offer a range of courses to suit your lifestyle, aims and interests.
Short courses can stimulate ideas and new ways of working without earning academic credit. But for those already in ministry roles – perhaps with an undergraduate theological qualification and looking for a more intentional approach to strengthening faith and vocation – the postgraduate study might be a better fit.
Postgraduate study within the Centre for Contemporary Spirituality and the Centre for Theology, Imagination and Culture can help stimulate your ministry by deepening your reflective, theological, and pastoral skills in a creative and supportive environment.
There are one, two and three year options, all on a part-time basis: a one year Postgraduate Certificate, the two year Postgraduate Diploma, and the three year master of arts (MA). The MA offers the opportunity to develop an Independent Research Project on a topic of your choice.
Postgraduate modules in Christian Spirituality offer deep dives into the history of the Christian spiritual tradition, explorations of the nature and place of Christian spirituality in the contemporary world, specific focuses on art, creativity, mysticism, embodiment, pastoral ministry, and sexuality amongst many other topics.
Postgraduate modules in Theology, Imagination and Culture offer the opportunity to explore in detail the concept of culture, its relationships with theological thought and practice, and the role of imagination as a vehicle for expression and a site of theological inspiration and engagement.
