Dr Jessica Scott Appointed to Sarum Centre Formation in Ministry as Tutor and Lecturer
Sarum College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Jessica Scott as Tutor and Lecturer in the Sarum Centre for Formation in Ministry. This is a temporary role to cover a year-long maternity leave post.
Dr Scott is a Research Associate at the Margaret Beaufort Institute in Cambridge. Alongside this, she has been heavily involved in social action and community engagement projects in London.
In this role, Dr Scott will teach across the curriculum of the Centre for Formation in Ministry at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to share in the organisation of the different pathways and in the support and reporting for students.
‘Jessica Scott brings into this post a wealth of academic experience and achievement alongside engagement in community and social action,’ says The Revd Canon Professor James Woodward, Principal of Sarum College.
‘The ministry team look forward to working with her and learning from her. We stand at a critical time in the life of the Church and its mission and ministry through our new generation of ordinands and candidates for authorised lay ministry.’
‘I am delighted to be joining the community at Sarum College and count it as a privilege to be involved in the teaching that takes place here,’ Dr Scott says. ‘Sarum’s purposeful, creative, and interdisciplinary approach to theology is hugely attractive.’
Dr Scott will be in post on 1 December 2021*.
