A Creative Repair Retreat course
Participants will be introduced to the theory and practice of Creative Repair, a concept presented in my recently published book: ‘Creative Repair – Pastoral care and creativity’ (SCM 2023). There will be periods of reflection and silence and participants are invited to bring materials to practise their own creativity. There will be a mixture of tutor presentation and group work. Creative Repair will be considered as part of a rule of life. One or two case studies will be discussed, allowing participants to reflect on their own pastoral settings. As a way into this weekend, I will invite attendants to think of it as a mini-creative-pilgrimage. There will be an opportunity to reflect on work/life balance. As a group analyst, I will encourage an interactive style of teaching and learning and thus be open to questions and ideas from everyone present.
It is not necessary to have studied this before. All aspects of creativity will be considered
