Biblical Greek Reading Week course

This is a course that is open to any students who have completed the introductory Greek in a Week course and/or knows and understands most of the basics of Koine (New Testament) Greek and is looking for more practice with a tutor and fellow learners to improve their understanding of the texts and their knowledge of Greek grammar.

Over four days of intensive study, this reading week will provide you with a community of peers to read and learn alongside. We will focus principally on texts from the Gospel of Luke, with comparisons from other texts in the New Testament.

Sessions will begin at 9am on Monday, 12 January and will run each day and evening (with afternoon breaks) until late afternoon on Thursday, 15 January.

The tutor is Dr Stuart Macwilliam.

In his research as a student on the MA in Theology, Imagination and Culture, Peter Butchers explored platonic philosophy, digital theology and eschatology, and pastoral practice around death and dying.

Rewarding Sabbatical Stay

The Revd Greg Syler, is Rector of Ascension & St. George’s, Resurrection Parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, DC USA, spent part of his ministry sabbatical at Sarum College in spring 2022.
