The course will help you discover the sort of rest you might need right now; physical, mental, emotional, social or spiritual. We will consider all the work you do in life and the extra work involved around Christmas for you and the areas in which all this work drains you. You will have the chance to reflect on what you already know is restful for you and expand upon those ideas. Learning the art of intentional and effective rest.

Also, we will consider what a healthy rhythm of work and rest might look like for you in this season of the year and in this season of life. We will explore what might be stopping you stopping, what it is that keeps you working when you really need to pause and rest and what makes rest easier for you.

There will also be an opportunity to seek God’s heart for rest for us and you will be encouraged to listen for what God’s invitation to you to rest may be in the weeks and months to come.

There will be a mixture of teaching, reflection, conversation, and time to experience and experiment with resting. Don’t worry if you can’t remember how, no previous experience is required!

Kerry is both a Coach and a Spiritual Director. She has a Diploma in Theology, Ministry and Mission focusing on the issue of rest. She also has a background of nearly 20 years’ experience in Nursing and Nurse Education.

Having experienced a period of exhaustion 15 years ago and having discovered how to rest well, Kerry now works as a Rest Coach and Mentor to help others to find a healthy and sustainable rhythm of rest and work and a renewed energy for life for themselves.
