Katherine Thompson

Bio:

Katharine Thompson joined Sarum College in September 2025 as Tutor in Spiritual Direction.

Katharine trained to be a Spiritual Director at Sarum before becoming a course assistant. As a spiritual director she accompanies people in person, online and outdoors, walking or running in nature. She also leads reflective running retreats and pilgrimages.

Katharine has a Masters degree in Intercultural studies from Fuller Seminary in California, USA and a BSC (Hons) from Durham University.

She has spent over 30 years working in small to medium charities, including Viva and The Space, supporting vulnerable children and young people. She and her family also spent 7 years as wardens of Windsor Hill Wood, a Christian refuge in Somerset for people recovering from a time of crisis.

As a Tutor in Spiritual Direction at Sarum College, Katharine draws together her expertise in adult formation and mentoring, group facilitation and retreat leadership with her ministry of Spiritual Accompaniment.
