February 2025
Rabbi Shoshana Boyd Gelfand, a lecturer and public speaker on faith, identity and leadership, will give the keynote address for the 2025 Academic Awards ceremony on Saturday March 8 at St Thomas’s Church, Salisbury.
Boyd-Gelfand is a Visiting Scholar at Sarum College and teaches on the College’s popular Reading Scripture Together series. Run throughout the year, the courses consider selected biblical texts, themes and stories in detail, exploring how they have been interpreted in the Jewish and Christian traditions, both in the written word and in art, and on their relevance and meaning to us today.
In her 2013 TedxJerusalem talk, The Power of Polarities, Boyd-Gelfand advocates a management approach which acknowledges a dynamic of forces that are interdependent yet opposite each other with positives and negatives on either side.
The ceremony begins at 10:30am and is open to the public free of charge – no ticket is required. The reception following the ceremony at Sarum College is invitation-only, for graduates and their registered guests.
