Sarum College public update on coronavirus

Updated 20 March 2020

Dear friends

We want you to know the ways in which Sarum is currently operating in the ever-changing context of Covid-19.

We continue to welcome guests for private stays. For those needing a base to visit loved ones at Salisbury District Hospital is less than two miles away – a seven minute drive and 11 minutes by bus.

With the health and wellbeing of all concerned in mind, we are heeding national health advice to reduce social contact to limit the spread of the virus, the Sarum College Bookshop and Sarum College Library are now closed to the public.

We will still be here for you and ready to post what you need for free, however.

From Monday 23rd March, a bookshop staff member will be in daily to take orders, reply to emails, make book recommendations. The online shop is always open and we will update our Twitter account regularly updated so please do check in on us for the latest news and developments.

Please keep ordering, and do consider becoming a Friend of Sarum College or making a donation. The College is facing huge financial loss with the cancellation of our short course programme as well as the conference and B&B accommodation work in the coming months – all of which we rely on to pay our bills and employ our staff.

Your continued support means everything to us and is needed now more than ever.

All good wishes and our thoughts and prayers for you and your communities.

The Revd Canon Professor James Woodward

Principal, Sarum College
