Dear Friends
Ahead of the government review of current public safety restrictions in force until 2 December, Sarum College Trustees and the College Leadership Team have decided to make best use of our resources by remaining temporarily closed for public hospitality through the end of 2020.
While our buildings are closed, our learning programmes continue to run online with the support of library services. We are preparing to roll out the first tranche of 2021 short courses – subscribe to our monthly enewsletter for updates.
Given the government’s extension of the furlough scheme, some staff – especially those involved in running hospitality — will remain on furlough when this period of national lockdown ends.
We will continue to take future bookings for courses, events, private and group stays. Our terms and conditions have been adapted to accommodate a Covid-specific extenuating circumstances policy, which we expect to revise as the threat to public health evolves.
While the buildings are closed, we are working behind the scenes to develop our learning programmes, improve the buildings and our administrative systems to make learning and visiting Sarum College an even better experience.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Sarum College.
The Revd Canon Professor James Woodward, Principal of Sarum College
Like many organisations, Sarum College has suffered huge financial losses from the consequences of complying with public health guidance. If you’d like to help, please visit our Friends of Sarum College page. Thank you.
