Sarum College will host the inaugural Church Times Festival of Poetry, May 5 and 6.
With talks on the value of poetry, poetry and prayer, and the war poets in 2018, as well as poetry readings from the early morning to late night in the Victorian Chapel, the festival is wonderful chance to immerse yourself in poetry.
Speakers include Ian Adams, Edward Clarke, Jeremy Davies, Beth Dodd, Carla Grosch-Miller, Malcolm Guite, Paul Kerensa, Rachel Mann, Mark Oakley, Pádraig Ó Tuama, Christopher Southgate and Michael Symmons Roberts.
All tickets include delicious lunches prepared on-site with local ingredients, as well as tea and coffee breaks. On Saturday evening there will be a drinks and canapes reception, accompanied by a professional harpist, followed by a Gala Dinner with poets. The evening finale is a candlelit late night poetry session with Pádraig Ó Tuama.
A stay in Sarum College, located in the glorious Salisbury Cathedral Close, rounds off the weekend experience.
